Article Writing - How to Structure a Good Article by Janet Simpson

As you may or may not know, there are two main reasons for writing and promoting articles, and these are:

1) to generate back links for search engine optimization; and

2) to create direct traffic to your website or squeeze page.

If you've never written an article before or you have difficulty at structuring one on a regular basis, here are some key tips.

Here are some suggestions which will help make article marketing a little easier for you.

1 - When it comes to drafting an article title, try to use a title that has not been used previously online. This way, you can track the propagation of your article quite easily.

Type the name of the article title into the major search engines and see what you get as a result. If your new title comes up with 'no result', then it is fine to use this title for an article.

Once you have created and submitted your articles, after a week or so, because your title was unique, it will be easy for you to learn how many sites have downloaded your article. Do this about once or twice a month, and you will be pleased at the results.

2 - You should write about something that you have quite a bit of knowledge of because if you do not have some knowledge you will not have the vocabulary to write about it.

3 - Your writing should be easy and comfortable. You do not have to complicate it by trying to use words that even you find difficult to understand. Your article must be easy to read. If your reader has difficulty in reading it they will click away.

4 - Write short articles. Your articles should be between 350 and 450 words. Most of the reputable article directories will accept this number of words.

5 - It is important that you include an enticing link to your site at the end of each article. You could do this by offering a free e-book or product in the bio.

So you see, writing articles does not have to be difficult at all. It is just a question of getting into the habit and getting into the routine. You might find it strange at first, but within a very short space of time, you should be able to draft your articles as easily as writing a letter.
